  • Absolutely the best hotel, location, and staff!

This was an incredibly wonderful hotel, in every respect. If you are visiting Mykonos, do not look elsewhere for a place to stay. First, the location is ideal. The hotel is located a short walk into town. It takes about ten minutes or less to get into town and the road is safe and easy to use for walking (plus there is an excellent restaurant on the way). There is even a Starbucks just down the road for coffee addicts. By being slightly out of town, things seem more relaxed. Although not directly in town, you still get a view of the sea. Second, the hotel itself is beautifully designed. In fact, you don't feel like you are in a hotel (hence "suites"). It feels more like a small Greek village than a hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed, and many have very cool sinks, for example. The a/c worked very well too. The grounds are excellently landscaped. And there is a superb swimming pool, with lots of umbrellas and different lounge chairs, as well as a gigantic bed. Third, the included breakfast was outstanding. Lots of eggs, meats, juices, breads, cereals, cakes, teas, coffee and other things. There is also a bar by the pool that has everything and is run by a very entertaining bartender. And finally, the staff was amazing. Everyone, from the owner on down, could not have been kinder and more helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay very special and they succeeded. In short, for the money, you feel like you are staying in a chic hotel in a fabulous location surrounding by the warmest staff possible. Don't hesitate, book your room asap and have a great and memorable time.

We just spent a week in Mykonos in Greece and after quite a bit of research we had decided to stay at Ostraco Suites with my wife and 18-month baby girl. We had a great time as we were looking for a small and charming boutique hotel which would combine local character with attention to detail and good design. We like to relax on holidays in small hotels where service is good but non obtrusive and not over the top. This was the case with well-designed rooms in small groups of little houses in typical Mykonos/Cyclades style (ie white!) and a great pool area with a good bar and lounging area for guests. Early May is definitely early in the season (apart from the Greek Easter weekend which brings hords of trendy Athenians to to the Island) and with the semi-constant wind, it can be a bit chilly. We were lucky and able to spend time on the beach and around the pool. From the pool and from most rooms you have a great sea view and spectacular sunsets. The hotel is managed by Fotis who is central to its success and he is doing everything, from reservations, taking care of its guests requests, great cocktails and any other essential maintenance that is happening behind the scenes. He also provided us with perfect advice on beaches to visits and restaurants for dinner, booking for us in most cases. Only downside (after a week there) was the breakfast which was ok but a bit repetitive. Mykonos is an expensive island (dinner for 2 averaged between €75 to €150!) but Ostraco is definitely good value for money on the island for the discerning traveller. Finally note that at €15 an hour, babysitters are expensive too! (we negotiated ours to €10/hour as we had her in every night but it is worth bearing in mind for parents with small children). Enjoy Miykonos and say hello to Fotis for us.

Having spent a lot of time in the internet looking for a hotel in Mykonos, me and my husband, came up with Ostraco suites. We booked it for August and on the 4th we were there. It was more than we could ever expected! By the time we arrived on the island, Fotis Geranios, the Guest Relation Manager, picked us up from the airport and drove us to the hotel. After checking in we were offered Cafe Frape (the typical Greek Iced coffee that I loved!!!) and a sight inspection of the hotel was given. We were escorted to the suite by Mr Geranios and I was really impressed! The room was more than perfect!! The building had been refurbished during the winter so everything was new and very well decorated. The sun, the beach, the greek food everything was great. We were also impressed by the greek hospitality in myconos. We ll definitely go again this summer. We have already booked the same suite in Ostraco but for different dates. I highly recommend it to everyone who want to spend holidays in mykonos!
