Hotel Matina is precisely what one wants when they go to to Mykonos, or for that matter, anyplace else. Located about 30 seconds off the town's main road, the Hotel is quiet, friendly and most of all very comfortable. It has the feel of a guest house, and you immediately feel that the owners have known you for years and will do all within their powers to make your stay on this island as pleasant as possible. One reason the Hotel is so enjoyable is that it is located on a pedetrian street, with no cars, motorbikes, nor other noisemaking devices nearby to disturb one during their vacation. The Hotel has a garden which is especially refreshing during a hot summer day or evening and having one's breakfast there is an especially enjoyable way of starting the day. The attractions of the town are no more that 5 to 10 minutes away. The walk to Mykonos' beautiful harbor takes about 7-9 minutes, if that. The buses to the beaches are about 5 minutes away. Restaurants are about 2 minutes by foot, and almost any bank or other store can be found within 5-10 minutes walking, including grocery stores, drugstores, convenience stores, internet cafe's, jewelers, etc. Go here if you like a hotel that's small, serene and fun. Don't go if your idea of a hotel is a Las Vegas casion, but then again, if that's what you're looking for you shouldn't be go to Mykonos in the first place.
